Abstract: In the rapidly evolving AI-driven tech landscape, the role of testers is often seen as either underrated or understated. This talk explores how testing has transformed from traditional quality assurance to a critical function in ensuring ethical, reliable, and user-centric AI systems. As automation and AI take over routine tasks, testers are stepping into roles as validators of fairness, ethical gatekeepers, and quality advocates. This session highlights the shifting expectations, the unique value testers bring in the AI era, and why it’s time to recognize them as essential contributors to responsible innovation.

RISE to the Occasion | Reimagine and reconstruct our Testing Value Equation
Speaker: Ashutosh Bhatawadekar, Engagement Director | CIO Advisory, Tata Consultancy Services
10:00 –10:30
Abstract: Testing practices are truly at a crossroad today. While many organizations have benefitted from adapting Agile practices, we see that the industry is in a dilemma as to what more could be further incremental benefits, we can accrue more. Like the classic Law of Diminishing returns says, any further investments into Agile / Automation approaches may not yield any significant returns.
In the proposed session, I leverage the power of the RISE model (developed by Emily Wray) and use this to help us revalidate the above conjecture. I use the 4 critical elements of RISE (R- Reflect | I-Inquire, S-Suggest, E-Elevate) model and apply them on the current testing practices and identify what could be those game changers to enhance our Testing value. As a part of this session, we would also be exploring the Power of GEN AI tools and their fitment in the RISE framework.

Scaling DevOps in Large Enterprises
Nikhil Chauhan, Global Head of Cloud & Digital Transformation & DevOps Leader, Fujitsu
Abstract: Scaling DevOps in large enterprises requires cultural transformation, automation, and alignment across teams. By integrating CI/CD, enhancing collaboration, and adopting cloud-native tools, organizations can accelerate delivery, improve quality, and maintain governance. Success hinges on leadership support, continuous learning, and scalable architectures that adapt to evolving business and technology needs.
12:10 – 12:40
Performance Engineering & Reliability
Shailesh Mishra, Sr. Enterprise Solution Architect, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Abstract: An in-depth session on performance engineering and system reliability in the cloud. With extensive experience in large-scale migrations and performance optimization, Shailesh brings real-world insights from leading Amazon’s “Rolling Stone” migration—a massive 75PB data move—while ensuring 99.999% uptime for mission-critical systems. The talk covers battle-tested strategies and lessons learned from Amazon’s internal performance engineering practices. It explores practical approaches to improving system performance, achieving significant cost savings, and enhancing reliability through architectural best practices, automation, and AWS-native solutions. Attendees will gain actionable guidance for building resilient, high-performing systems at scale.
